Description
Total length of the course: <1 hour
The internet was built on a vision of openness and shared governance, but that vision is under pressure from every direction. In this conversation, trace how internet governance has evolved since the 1990s and whether the multi-stakeholder governance model is still fit for purpose. We then ask how authoritarian regimes, tech companies, and platform power are reshaping who actually controls the infrastructure and rules of the digital world, before confronting the hardest question of all: is a truly open internet still a realistic - and desirable - goal?
